Triple H announces launch of WWE NXT UK brand!

At day one of the 2018 UK Championship Tournament at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, Triple H made a special appearance and made the surprise announcement that WWE is to launch a new NXT UK brand. Part of the overall NXT umbrella, the show will be run as a standalone entity in the UK, with shows taped and broadcast at a later date on the WWE Network.

During his in-ring appearance, and after waiting out the thunderous "We Want Mania" chants, Triple H noted that as good as the UK scene is, he thinks that they have barely scratched the surface. Shortly thereafter, he introduced legendary British wrestler Johnny Saint as the NXT UK General Manager, before announcing the dates and locations for the first set of tapings. The provisional schedule is as follows:

July 28-29: Cambridge (Corn Exchange)

August 25-26: Birmingham (Insomnia Gaming Festival)

October 13-14: Plymouth (Plymouth Pavilions)

November 24-25: Liverpool (Liverpool Olympia)

Tickets are due on sale later this week, and Triple H told fans in attendance that if they kept their ticket stubs from the Royal Albert Hall, they would receive priority when it comes to the tickets going on-sale.

The UK Championship Tournament concludes this evening, and Zack Gibson - who won the eight-man tournament on Monday night - is set to challenge Pete Dunne, who has held the title since May 2017.

This site has been created to chronicle all of the NXT UK developments, and this is unquestionably an exciting time to be a fan of both WWE and the British wrestling scene.

- The WWE UK Championship airs on the WWE Network in two parts, beginning on June 25 and concluding the following night. It will be accessible on-demand from 3pm ET (8pm GMT).
